Invitation to EMEYF Spring Gathering 2023!

Dear friends,

With this letter we would like to invite you all to this year’s EMEYF Spring Gathering.
the gathering will be held at a beautiful 200 years old Quaker house in Congenies which is in the
south of France. The gathering will take place on the following dates: 8 th -16 th of April 2023.
The theme for the gathering this year is: “rekindling the light”. With this theme we hope to
direct our energies towards rebuilding and rekindling EMEYF as a group and we also aim to
achieve at least some of the following things during the gathering:

• Help people feel connected to each other and find ways to sustain this connection online during the year. 
• Have inspiring discussions about our faith. 
• Create a gathering where we feel rooted in our faith again.

During the gathering we will also be participating in inspiring sessions from within our
community, go out on walks, craft and get to know each other better. You can expect
worshipful silence, a cool day trip, joy, fun and more.

Families are very welcome but parents are responsible for their own kids because there will
not be a kids program.

In the Quaker house there are limited beds available but there is also the option of bringing
a sleeping mat or camping outside. There is also the option of staying at the hotel nearby.

The Quaker house in Congenies has a lovely big garden which will be extra nice in spring
where it is nice to sit and rest or run around and play. Congenies in itself is also a lovely little
town with good connections by public transport and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and
other lovely villages.
